Leadership Greater Washington, the DC area’s premier leadership incubator, is partnering with Social Driver to help busy executives Lead on LinkedIn. LinkedIn has emerged as the go-to social media platform for leaders to interact with their colleagues, their customers and the communities who matter. Highly visible executives know that their personal brand is an important vehicle to advance their company’s brand. This four-week bootcamp, starting Feb. 7, offers participants one-hour sessions to leverage their personal brands to advance their company’s aims.
The Bootcamp, led by Social Driver Cofounder and Chief Strategy Officer Anthony Shop, builds on his experience leading executive-level training for leaders at Amazon, PepsiCo, NASA, The British Embassy and the Bipartisian Policy Center. Chief Development Officer at the BPC, Tycely Williams, said of the training, “We’re genuinely grateful for your exceptional insights, constructive coaching and infused inspiration.”
Instead of a single-day session, the four-week virtual course will include more vital information, including a deep dive into strategy, tactics, specific examples applied by leaders, and interactive activities. After each session, Shop will offer an additional 30 minutes for live Q&A. The course will transform any Chief Executive into a Chief Influencer.
As noted by Trish Lindo, Sr. Creator Manager at LinkedIn, "LinkedIn has over 875 million active members on the platform and many of them want to learn from you. You can build your personal brand on LinkedIn by contributing to the conversation and sharing your thought leadership. Your years of experience and expertise is invaluable... share it."
“In 2023, I’m all in on LinkedIn,” said Shop. “While nurturing relationships in a hybrid world may seem daunting, LinkedIn is a platform of choice to reach many of the busiest people. It's where Chief Executives can embrace the role of Chief Influencer.” Lead on LinkedIn is the first time Shop’s executive visibility strategies will be accessible to any Executive, C-Suite, or emerging leader looking to strengthen their influence and grow their audience.
Shop is especially proud of the partnership with Leadership Greater Washington. “As a member of LGW’s Class of ‘22 - ‘Nothing We Can’t Do’ - and as a Board Member, this is really exciting for me,” he said. “I’m thrilled to work with leaders in our community as they seek to maximize their impact by engaging with their teams, their partners and their industries.”
"Leadership Greater Washington is about connecting great minds to do great things and LinkedIn has the capacity to create those kinds of connections on a grand scale,” said Doug Duncan (’15), President and CEO, Leadership Greater Washington, “We are grateful to Anthony and Social Driver for helping leaders realize the platform’s potential.”

In today’s hybrid and remote work environment, senior leaders from the private and public sectors have no choice but to leverage technology to reach and influence team members, stakeholders and the broader market. But executives are right to wonder, “Is social media even safe for my brand these days? And is it the best place to find my audience?”
LinkedIn has emerged as the go-to social media platform for leaders to interact with their colleagues, their customers and the communities who matter. Highly visible executives know that their personal brand is an important vehicle to advance their company’s brand. As a case-in-point: executives’ LinkedIn posts tend to get 8-20x the engagement of their company’s accounts, according to The Wall Street Journal. A leader’s online presence and reputation cannot be ignored.
Whether your objective is to demonstrate thought leadership in your industry, recruit the best talent for your company, engage your current workforce, or drive sales through relationships, Leading On LinkedIn will provide real use cases and hands-on guidance. Topics will include:

- Maximizing LinkedIn’s “Creator Mode”
- Leveraged LinkedIn’s advanced features

- What is the dividing line between my personal brand and my professional brand?
