Washington Housing Conservancy

Animating Outreach for Affordable Housing

Washington Housing Conservancy, a nonprofit that provides homes to low-income residents in the DC Metro area, tapped Social Driver to help them explain the complexities of affordable housing. The organization hoped to dispel myths and foster advocacy for its mission.

Social Driver worked closely with the organization to create two animated, 90-second videos and an infographic, which they now use in outreach throughout the community. The videos explain how affordable housing is out of reach for many DC residents–and outlines a solution that combines private sector capital with social impact. Our team handled every aspect of production: scriptwriting, audio, editing, mixing, voiceovers and more.

Kimberly Driggins, the nonprofit’s executive director, noted that they especially appreciated Social Driver’s ongoing communication and project management. “Social Driver really demystified the creative process,” Kimberly shares. “The team did a great job taking complicated subject matter and turning it into visuals that help us explain who we are. I give them high marks for listening and understanding what we were trying to produce.”
