Social Driver CEO Thomas Sanchez Named “Tech Titan” by Washingtonian

Washingtonian recently named Social Driver CEO Thomas Sanchez among its 2022 Tech Titans–recognizing his national leadership in digital marketing and his contributions to the region’s technology sector.

Magazine Recognizes Sanchez for Leadership in D.C.’s Digital Marketing and Tech Industry

Washingtonian recently named Social Driver CEO Thomas Sanchez among its 2022 Tech Titans–recognizing his national leadership in digital marketing and his contributions to the region’s technology sector.

Tech Titans is a “who’s who” list honoring the most innovative and important people in D.C.’s tech scene, including entrepreneurs, government officials, cybersecurity experts and venture capitalists. Sanchez was one of only six honorees to be photographed and featured in the magazine’s print edition.

Washingtonian noted Sanchez’s influential role as chair of the DC Innovation & Technology Inclusion Council, which advises D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser on diversifying the city’s tech ecosystem.

Washingtonian also recognized Sanchez’s leadership as CEO and co-founder of Social Driver, which has deep roots in the D.C. area. Sanchez launched the digital marketing firm with co-founder Anthony Shop in 2011 after winning George Washington University’s New Venture Competition.

Today, Social Driver creates award-winning brands and campaigns for clients nationwide, with a team of 50 and five offices across the United States. Through its Driver Foundation, Social Driver also contributes to nonprofits in Washington, D.C., and beyond. Previously, Washingtonian named Social Driver one of the most charitable companies in Washington, D.C.

Sanchez is a nationally recognized expert in digital marketing and has been named among the "most innovative people in Washington, D.C.” by DCInno. He regularly shares his perspective on tech topics such as the metaverse with outlets including the Washington Business Journal and Technical.ly. Sanchez also invests in his profession by promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in D.C. and nationwide.
